Roof structure strengthening with a steel structure in Mougins

At OMPT STRUCTURE, we recently designed and implemented a structural strengthening solution following the demolition of partitions in a house in Mougins. This project aimed to make up for the loss of support provided by the partitions, while guaranteeing the overall stability of the structure.

Demolishing the partitions required an in-depth study to assess the impact on the roof structure and the load-bearing elements. To meet the constraints, we developed a solution based on installing HEA200 steel beams, supported by UPN200 sections. The existing column was strengthened with UPN200 sections in a twin-beam clamping (moisage) arrangement, ensuring better rigidity and optimal load redistribution.

The connections were reinforced with welded and bolted steel base plates. This configuration effectively carries the loads originally supported by the partitions.

This work effectively redistributed the loads to the foundations, ensuring the stability of the roof structure after the partitions were removed, while providing more open and functional spaces. At OMPT STRUCTURE, we are committed to providing tailored solutions for your most demanding projects.
